Heard Mr.Pradhan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Mohanty, learned Additional Standing Counsel. 2.

According to Mr. Pradhan, the petitioner is aggrieved by the inaction of the authorities, more particularly, Tahasildar, Mahakalapara (opposite party No.3) in not disposing of his application dated 14.7.2021 for settlement of land filed under Annexure-2. He further submits that though he has approached the Collector, Kendrapara on 15.9.2021 under Annexure-3, till date, nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, he prays that a direction be issued to the opposite party No.3 to take a decision on such application dated 14.7.2021 within a

//2// specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the Tahasildar, Mahakalapara (opposite party No.3) to take a decision on the above noted application under Annexure-2, in accordance with law, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of the certified copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner. 4.

With the above observation and direction, the writ application is disposed of.
