01. 1. This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement Order No (Virtual/Physical) Mode.

2. Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner and learned counsel for the Opposite Parties.

3. The Petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition with the following prayer:- "Under the above circumstances, it is humbly prayed that the Original Application may be allowed and necessary direction may be made to the respondents to regularize the services of the applicant against the post of Peon and similarly benefit may be granted to him, which has been granted to other similarly situated employees by virtue of the office order dated 17.11.2017 passed by the State Government pursuant to the judgment and order dated 12.8.2013 in O.A. No. 1822 of 1993 and a batch of cases and all consequential service benefits including his monthly salary as his appointment has been approved by the competent authority i.e. Director of Secondary Education, Odisha, Bhubaneswar, may be released in his favour forthwith preferably within a time to be stipulated by this Hon'ble Tribunal or in the alternative, any other order/orders or direction/directions may be issued so as to give complete relief to the applicant."

4. Learned counsel for the Petitioner further submits that through highlighting his grievances, the Petitioner has filed an application at Annexure-9 to the Writ Petition before the O.P. No.3, but till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, learned counsel for the Petitioner prays that a direction be issued to Opposite Party No.3 to take a decision on the above noted Petition within a specific time period.

5. Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs Opposite Party No.3 to take a decision on the above noted petition in accordance with law within a period of three (3) months from the date of receipt of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the Petitioner.
