Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner.

The Petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition with the following prayer:- "issue notice to the opp. parties and after hearing the parties allow the same with cost and issue a writ in the nature of mandamus/certiorari or/other or/furthers writs/directions directing the opp. parties to fix the petitoner grade pay at the rate of Rs.4600/- from 1.1.13 as per clause-10 of Govt. Resolution dt.6.2.2013 and the decision in the case of State of Orissa and others VRS Bihari Lal (W.P.(C ) No.2831 of 2016 decided on 27.6.2016) Others Vrs. Bihari Lal (W.P.(C ) No. 2831 of 2016 decided on 27.6.2016 by modifying the pay fixation under Annexure-5 and 6 by inserting the figure Rs.4600/- in place of Rs.2800/- in respect of 3rd RACP only and further direct the opp. parties to pay all arrears in this regard to the petitioner with in a specified period or may pass any other order as this Hon'ble Court deems fit and proper And for which act of kindness the petitioner shall be obliged."

He further submits that through highlighting his grievances, the petitioner has filed a representation Annexure-7 to the Writ Petition, but till date nothing has
// 2 // been done in the matter. In such background, he prays that a direction be issued to opposite party No.1 to take a decision on the above noted petition within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs opposite party No.1 to take a decision on the above noted petition in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of production of certified copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.
