This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement. 2.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State.

According to learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner is aggrieved by the tardy manner in which investigation is going on in connection with Athagarh P.S. Case No.245 of 2022. During course of hearing, he submits that liberty may be granted to the petitioner to approach the Superintendent of Police, Rural, Cuttack (opposite party no.3) in the matter and further prays that direction be issued to the said opposite party to take a decision on such motion within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without

// 2 // expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court grants liberty to the petitioner to approach the Superintendent of Police, Rural, Cuttack (opposite party no.3) by filing a grievance petition along with copy of this order through Registered Post within a period of two weeks. In the event, such a motion is made, opposite party no.3 is directed to take a decision on the same in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of grievance petition and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.

The CRLMP is accordingly disposed of.

Issue urgent certified copy of this order on proper application.
