This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement (Video Conferencing/Physical Mode).

Heard Mr. D.R. Rath, learned counsel appearing for the Petitioner and Mr. S. Jena, leaned Standing Counsel for School and Mass Education Department.

The present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner with a prayed for a direction to the Opposite Parties for sanction of pension and other pensionary benefits accruing to the Petitioner as admissible under law and release the same in favour of the Petitioner pursuant to Letter No.29721 dated 07.08.2019 issued by the Deputy Director (GS) to the Additional Secretary to Government, Department of School and Mass Education, Odisha, Bhubaneswar. 4.

It is further submitted by learned counsel for the Petitioner that concerned authority is sitting over the matter and has not taken any action till date. Therefore, the Petitioner had submitted representation on 16.09.2019 before the Additional Chief Secretary

// 2 // to Government, Department of School and Mass Education, Odisha, Bhubaneswar. The said representation dated 16.09.2019 which is marked as Annxure-4 to the writ petition is also pending before the authority for consideration.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties, this Court disposed of the writ petition with a direction to the Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Department of School and Mass Education, Odisha, Bhubaneswar to dispose of the representation of the Petitioner dated 16.09.2019 within a period of eight weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order. The decision taken on the representation of the Petitioner shall be communicated to him within a period of ten days thereafter. 6.

It is made clear that this Court does not express any opinion on the merits of the case.

With the aforesaid observation, the writ petition is disposed of. 8.

Urgent certified copy of this order be handed over on proper application.
