Heard Mr. B.P. Tripathy, learned Addl. Government Advocate for the petitioners and Mr. S.N. Pattnaik, learned counsel for the opposite party.

This writ petition involves the following prayer: "In the circumstances stated above, it is humbly prayed that this Hon'ble Court may be graciously pleased to admit this writ petition, call for the records and after hearing the parties, be pleased to:

i) Quash the order dated 24.04.2017 passed by the learned Tribunal in O.A. No. 1507 of 2013 under Annexure-2.

ii) Pass such other order/orders, as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit, just and proper in the facts and circumstances of the present case.

And, fort this act of kindness, the petitioners shall remain duty bound ever pray."

Undisputedly, filing the writ petition involving a challenge to an order passed by the Odisha Administrative Tribunal, Principal Bench, Bhubaneswar in O.A. No. 1507 of 2013, vide Annexure-2 on 24.04.2017. The writ petition is filed almost 4 and 1⁄2 years after.

Considering the submission of Mr. B.P. Tripathy, learned Addl. Government Advocate for the State-petitioners and on perusal of the grounds causing delay in filing the writ petition, this

Court finds there is absolutely no explanation causing such inordinate delay in filing the writ petition. 5.

The writ petition thus stands dismissed on account of gross delay.
