Heard Mr. Pradhan, learned counsel for Petitioner and Mr. Y.S.P. Babu, learned Addl. Government Advocate for the StateOpposite Parties. 3.
The present Writ Petition has been filed with the following prayer:- "(i) Admit and allow this O.A.
(ii) Quash the Memorandum of Charges dated 14.10.2005 at Annexure-5 to the O.A. or (iii) Direct respondents to conclude the proceeding at Annexure-5 within a period of two months failing which all service and financial benefits to which the applicant is entitled be released forthwith subject to the outcome of result of the disciplinary proceeding and (iv) Pass such other order / direction as may be deemed proper to meet the ends of justice".

Learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that the proceeding though was initiated on 14.10.2005, with appointment of the enquiry officer, but no progress is made with regard to the conduct of the enquiry and consequential disposal of the proceeding.

In view of such innocuous nature of prayer, this Court while disposing the Writ Petition directs the Opposite Party No.1 to conclude the proceeding initiated against the Petitioner on 14.10.2005 under Annexure-5 in accordance with law within a period of six months from the date of receipt of this order, if there is no other legal impediment.

With the aforesaid observations and directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of.
