Heard learned counsel for Petitioner and learned counsel for the State-Opposite Parties.

The present Writ Petition has been filed with the following prayer:- "(i) Admit and allow the Original Application; (ii) Necessary direction be issued to the Respondents, more particularly to the Respondent No.3 to pass necessary orders for releasing of differential salary in the TGT Scale of pay from 3.10.1991 to 9.11.1998 as the applicant has discharged his duties against the vacant post of TGT (PCM) at Govt. Girl's High School, Nabarangpur and he has been drawn and disbursed with trained Matric Scale of Pay; (iii) That applicant also seeks the intervention of this Hon'ble Tribunal for issuance of such other appropriate direction as may be necessary in the facts and circumstances of the case".

Learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that through highlighting his grievances, the Petitioner has filed a representation at Annexure-8 to the Writ Petition, before

// 2 // the opposite party No.3 but till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, he prays that a direction be issued to opposite party No.3 to take a decision on the above noted petition within a specific time period. 5.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs opposite party No.3 to take a decision on the above noted petition in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of production of certified copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.

6. With the aforesaid observation and direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of.
