Mr. L.Pradhan, learned counsel for the petitioners files the deficit Court fee along with a memo in Court today. The same be kept on record.

Heard Mr. L.Pradhan, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr. S.S.Pradhan, learned Additional Government Advocate. 3.

At the outset, Mr. L.Pradhan, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that this writ petition be confined to petitioner No.1 only and with regard to petitioner No.2, he submits that he may be granted liberty to file a separate writ petition. 4.

Prayer, as made is allowed.

According to learned counsel for the petitioners, the petitioner No.1 is a land less person and though on 15.01.2021, he applied for settlement of a piece of government land in his favour before the Tahasildar, Mahakalapara (opposite party No.3) under

Annexure-2, till date nothing has been done in the matter. His further submission is that against such inaction, though he has approached the Collector, Kendrapra on 17.11.2021 under Annexure-3, the same has not yielded any result. 6.

In such background, he prays that a direction be issued to the Tahasildar, Mahakalapara (opposite party No.3) to take a decision on such application for settlement of government land in his favour under Annexure-2 within a specific time period. 7.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the opposite party No.3 to take a decision on the above noted application dated 15.01.2021 under Annexure-2, in accordance with law, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of the certified copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner No.1.

With the above observations and direction, the writ petition is disposed of.
