This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

Heard learned counsel for the parties.

The Petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition with the following prayer:- It is therefore prayed that this Hon'ble Court may graciously be pleased to admit the writ application, Issue notice to the Opposite Parties to show cause as to why appropriate direction shall not be issued to initiate proceeding under the Land Acquisition Act and to pay due compensation to the Petitioner for illegal occupation of Plot No.344/404 area Ac.0.066dec. of land corresponding to Khata No.58 and Plot No.344/439 area Ac.0.088dec. of land corresponding to Khata No.91 of Mouza Bubuda Colony in the district of Nayagarh recorded in the name of the petitioner.
And if the opposite parties do not show cause or show insufficient cause, issue a writ in the nature of Mandamus, directing the opposite parties to initiate a proceeding under the provision of Land Acquisition Act and pay due and adequate compensation to the petitioner."

He further submits that through highlighting her grievances,
the petitioner has filed a representation vide Annexure-2 to the Writ Petition, but till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, she prays that a direction be issued to opposite party No.2 to take a decision on the above noted petition within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs opposite party No.2 to take a decision on the above noted petition in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of production of certified copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.
