Heard learned counsel for Petitioner and learned counsel for the State-Opposite Parties.

The present Writ Petition has been filed with the following prayer:- "(i) Direction(s) or Order (s) to set aside the impugned order / communication vide DO No.1170/SE dated 12.05.2022 for expunction of adverse remarks recorded in the PAR of the petitioner for the year 2020-21 (01.04.2020 to 31.03.2021) under Annexure-2 and subsequently communication vide DO No.1695/SE dtd.05.09.2022 under Annexure-4 issued by the Opp. Party No.2 and direct the Opp. Parties to consider the representation dated 13.10.2022 under Annexure-6 submitted by the petitioner for expunction of adverse remarks recorded in the PAR of the petitioner for the year 2020-21 (01.04.2020 to 31.03.2021) so as to enable him to be considered for promotion to the post of OAS-I (SB)".

Learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that through highlighting his grievances, the Petitioner has filed a representation at Annexure-6 to the Writ Petition, before
// 2 // the opposite party No.3 but till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, he prays that a direction be issued to opposite party No.3 to take a decision on the above noted petition within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs opposite party No.3 to take a decision on the above noted petition in accordance with law within a period of one month from the date of production of certified copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.

With the aforesaid observation and direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of.
