This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement (Virtual/Physical Mode).

Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner as well as learned counsel for the State.

The writ petition filed with the following prayer: "1.
Quash the order of rejection under Anx.22 and consequently the rejection order under Anx.16 & 19 & direct the respondent to consider the case of the applicant for appointment in the post of Junior Stenographer from the date of initial appointment of the applicant as Jr. Typist under Anx.7 and consequently, promotion be given to Sr. Stenographer & P.A. & onwards with all service and financial benefits."

Learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that a representation in this regard has been submitted to the Principal Secretary to Govt., Home Department, Bhubaneswar, Opposite Party No.1 dated 20.04.2015 (Annexure-20), which according to the Petitioner is still pending for consideration.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and considering the limited nature of request involved in this matter, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the Principal Secretary to Govt., Home Department, Bhubaneswar, Opposite Party No.1 to consider the representation of the Petitioner vide Annexure-20, in accordance with law, if the same is still pending, taking into account Annexure-10, within a period of two months from the date of communication of a certified copy of this order along with a copy of the writ petition by the Petitioner, giving opportunity of hearing to the Petitioner by passing a speaking and reasoned order. Decision so taken be communicated to the Petitioner within a period of two weeks thereafter.

With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of.

Issue urgent certified copy as per rules.
