01. 1. This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.
2. The writ petition has been renumbered and registered before this Court on 21.08.2021 after being transferred, upon abolition of the learned Odisha Administrative Tribunal, Bhubaneswar.
3. On perusal of the available order-sheets of the learned Tribunal, it is indicated that notices were issued on 17.06.2015 and the matter was never taken up/pursued after 04.04.2018.
4. The Original Application was filed in the year 2015 by the Odisha Secretariat Typists' Association represented through the General Secretary challenging the advertisement by the Staff Selection Commission for recruitment of Data Entry Operator.
5. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that she has no up-to-date instruction from the petitioner to pursue the matter.
6. Learned Additional Standing Counsel referring to the counter filed before the learned Tribunal on 11.04.2016 on behalf of the Home Department being the cadre of
// 2 // Controlling authority submits that the DEO Cadre posts have been created with the concurrence of Finance and GA Department in lieu of abolition of vacant Junior/Senior grade Typists Cadre posts without affecting the existing typist cadre. In order to meet the present day requirement in performing official works, the "Odisha Secretariat Data Entry Operators (Method of Recruitment and Conditions of Services) Rules,2008" effective from 30.12.2008 has been framed, as per which DEO posts are to be filled up by OSSC through open recruitment.

Having heard the learned counsel for the parties, the writ petition is disposed of due to lack of instruction from the petitioner.
