This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

None appears for the petitioner when the matter is called.

3. The writ petition has been registered before this Court on 21st August, 2021 after the O.A. was transferred from the learned State Administrative Tribunal, Principal Bench, Bhubaneswar upon its abolition.

On perusal of the available order sheets it is indicated that notices were issued on 15.5.2015 and the matter was never taken up/pursued after 26.4.2017.

The O.A.

was filed in the year by the applicant/petitioner who was an intending candidate for recruitment of Revenue Inspector and Assistant Revenue Inspector in the district of Nuapada and also the decision requesting the Odisha Subordinate Staff Selection Commission to conduct the said recruitment.

Learned AGA referring to the averments made in the writ petition/O.A. and the counter filed on behalf of the respondent no.2-Collector, Nuapada, submits that the decision of the authorities not to proceed further with the recruitment process and assign the process of recruitment to the Odisha Subordinate Staff Selection Commission, is a matter of policy and prudence and also is in the interest of maintaining transparency in the recruitment process and, therefore, cannot be faulted with.

7. It is further submitted by learned AGA that the recruitment was initiated in the year 2013 and the process has been

completed long since and pendency of the writ petition has rendered the matter infructuous.

Having heard learned AGA, writ petition is dismissed as infructuous.
