ORDER
27.7.2022 1 1. This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.
2. The writ petition has been registered before this Court on 28.12.2022 after the Original Application was transferred upon abolition of the learned Odisha Administrative Tribunal, Cuttack.
3. On perusal of the available order sheets of the learned Tribunal it is indicated that notices were issued on 30.3.2016. Thereafter the matter was never taken up/pursued.
4. Counter filed before the learned Tribunal by O.P. No.2-OPSC dated 23.6.2016 is on record.
5. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the OPSC that the challenge to the selection process initiated in the year 2015-16 would not survive at present as the respective rights of the selected candidates have cystalised.
6. In response to the factual assertion by the applicant, learned counsel for the OPSC referring to the paragraph-3 of the counter, submits that physical copy of the application of
petitioner did not reach OPSC by the last date i.e. 08.04.2016. Therefore, the application of the applicant had to be rejected.
7. Learned AGA also submits that the applicant having failed to apply by the last date of submission of application, no relief can be granted in the present petition.
8. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he has no up-to-date instruction to pursue the matter at present.
9. Having heard learned counsel for the parties, the writ petition is disposed of.
