This matter is taken up through Hybrid Mode.

Heard Ms. S. Das, learned counsel for the petitioner in BLAPL No. 8732 of 2020 and Mr. Manas Chand, learned counsel for the petitioner in BLAPL No. 9226 of 2020 and Mr. K.K. Gaya, learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State.

It is brought to the notice of the Court that out of 13 charge sheeted witnesses, 7 witnesses have been examined in the meanwhile.

Taking into account such submissions, this Court feels that the ends of justice will be sub served if the learned Court below is called upon to take steps to expedite the trial and complete the same within a period of six months hence. It shall be open for the petitioners to renew their application for bail, in the event, the trial is not completed within the stipulated period, provided the fault of lingering is not attributable to the petitioners. 5.

With the aforesaid observation, these BLAPLs are disposed of.
