This matter is taken up through Hybrid Mode.

Order No 2.

Heard Ms. A.Nayak, learned counsel for Petitioner and Mr. A.P.Das, learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the State-Opposite Parties.

The present Writ Petition has been filed with the following prayer:- "(i) To declare the action of the respondents in conducting the selection process as per advertisement at Annexure-3 and corrigendum thereto is illegal and in contravention to the ODRS Rules.

(ii) To direct the Selection Committee to prepare the merit lists a fresh in accordance with the provisions of ODRS Rules, 1983 and the stipulation made in the advertisement dt.20.12.2011.

(iii) To direct the Selection Committee to prepare the selection list a fresh in accordance with the provisions of ODRS Rules, 1983 and the Reservation Policy of the State.

(iv) To direct the Selection Committee to review the actions taken by them during the course of recruitment process and incase the applicant is found of deserving for appointment recommend his case to the Respondents for appoint to the

// 2 // post of Revenue Inspector against the existing vacancy with all consequential service benefits. (v) To grant any other relief / reliefs as deemed fit and proper".

Learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that through highlighting his grievances, the Petitioner has filed a representation at Annexure-7 to the Writ Petition, before the opposite party No.2 but till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, he prays that a direction be issued to opposite party No.2 to take a decision on the above noted petition within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs opposite party No.2 to take a decision on the above noted petition in accordance with law within a period of one month from the date of production of certified copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.

With the aforesaid observation and direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of.
