This matter is taken up through virtual/physical mode. 2.

The Original Application No.499 of 2016 (C) was filed before the State Administrative Tribunal, Cuttack Bench, Cuttack. After its abolition, the same has been transferred to this Court which is renumbered as WPC (OAC) No.499 of 2016. 3.

The Petitioners have challenged the order dated 10.11.2014, whereby the Opposite Party No.3, namely, Dr. Jayanti Pal, Reader in Political Science in K.K.S. Women's College, Balasore was allowed to remain in-charge of Principal, K.K.S. Women's College, Balasore in addition to her own duties. The prayer of the Petitioners is to quash the order dated 10.11.2014 and place any one of the Petitioners to remain as Principal in-charge of the aforesaid college.

Mr. Mohanty, learned Additional Standing Counsel brought to the notice of this Court that during pendency of the writ petition, the Petitioners have been retired on attaining the age of superannuation. Hence, this writ petition has become infructuous. 5.
