This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement (Virtual /Physical Mode).

Heard learned counsel for the petitioners as well as learned counsel for the State. Perused the record.

The present writ petition has been filed by the petitioners with the following prayers:

"The Petitioner therefore prays that your Lordships would graciously be pleased to direct the Opp.Parties to release all the pension and pensionary benefits and arrears with 18% interest in favour of the petitioner with all consequential benefits forthwith taking into representation under Annexure-5 in consideration before opp-party no.2 And pass such order / orders, direction / directions as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper."

It is further submitted by learned counsel for the petitioners that although the petitioners have filed representations dated 12.03.2022 and 23.02.2022 under Annexure-5 series before the Secretary to Government, Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water Department, Bhubaneswar-Opposite Party No.2, the same is still

// 2 // pending before the said Opposite party and the said Opposite Party has not taken any decision as of now.

Considering the submissions made, the limited nature of grievance involved in the present writ petition, keeping in view the case of the petitioners, this Court disposes of the writ petition at the stage of admission with a direction to the Secretary to Government, Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water Department, BhubaneswarOpposite Party No.2 to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 12.03.2022 and 23.02.2022 under Annexure-5 series in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order. It is needless to mention here that the representation of the petitioners shall be considered and disposed of by passing a speaking and reasoned order. Any decision so taken on the said representation shall be communicated to the petitioners within a period of two weeks thereafter. 7.

With the aforesaid observation/direction, the writ petition is disposed of.

Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
