This matter is taken up through virtual/physical mode. 2.
The Original Application No. 1386 of 2015 was filed before the State Administrative Tribunal, Cuttack Bench, Cuttack. After its abolition, the same has been transferred to this Court which is renumbered as WPC (OAC) No. 1386 of 2015.

The Petitioner working as a Peon in the office of Settlement Officer, Cuttack under Job Contract establishment filed the petition challenging the order dated 1st January, 2015 passed by O.S.D.-cum-Under Secretary, Consolidation, Board of Revenue, Odisha, whereby his name was sponsored to Collector, Mayurbhanj for his regular absorption in Class-IV Post.

The Petitioner claimed that he could not have sponsored to be regularized in the district of Mayurbhanj as his home district is Cuttack.

The learned Odisha Administrative Tribunal vide order dated 20th April, 2015 while issuing notice on admission passed the following order:-
// 2 // "So far as prayer for interim order is concerned, status quo of the applicant as on date be maintained till the next date.
It is, However, made clear that pendency of the O.A. shall not be a bar for consideration of the case of the applicant for posting him in Jagatsinghpur or Cuttack District, If suitable vacancy is available."

At the time of hearing today, the counsel for the Petitioner submitted that he has no up-to-date instruction in the matter and by efflux of time the matter has been rendered infructuous.

In view of the above, the writ petition stands dismissed as infructuous.
