Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner and learned counsel for the Opposite Parties.

The Petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition with the following prayer:- (i) To direct Respondents to promote the applicant to the cadre of Deputy Superintendent of Excise w.e.f. 26.02.2014 i.e. from the date his juniors have been promoted with all service and financial benefits.

(ii) Pass any other order / orders as deem fit and proper in the interest of justice".

Considering the submission made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the Petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation before the Opp. Party No.1 by enclosing all the relevant documents and citations in support of his claim, if any, within a period of three weeks hence. 5.

It is observed that if such a representation is filed within the aforesaid period, the Opp. Party No.1 shall do well to take a lawful decision within a period of three months from the date of receipt of such representation. The order so passed by the Opp.

With the aforesaid observation and direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of.
