The Original Application No.4244(C) of 2016 was filed before the Odisha Administrative Tribunal, Cuttack Bench, Cuttack. After its abolition, the same has been transferred to this Court which is renumbered as WPC(OAC) No.4244 of 2016. 3.

Perusal of the writ petition reveals that the Petitioner in response to the advertisement dated 9th September, 2015 for recruitment to the District Revenue Service for the posts of Revenue Inspector, Assistant Revenue Inspector and Amin on contractual basis under Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Govt. of Odisha applied for the post of Amin on 31st October, 2015. It is alleged that without conducting any interview, the selection list was prepared and it was found by making a search on internet that the candidature of the Petitioner was rejected. Since he was not called for interview on the ground of disqualification, the Petitioner has challenged the action of the Opposite Party No.1, namely, Odisha Sub-Ordinate Staff Selection Commission.

Since the writ petition is of the year 2016 and none appears for the Petitioner when the matter is called, it is construed that the Petitioner is no more interested for pursuing the matter. By efflux of time, the matter has become infructuous.
