The matter is taken up through hybrid arrangement (virtual/physical) mode.

The Petitioner who is in custody in connection with Khorda Model P.S. Case No.420 of 2019 corresponding to T.R. Case No.675 of 2019 on the file of learned Addl. Sessions Judge, Bhubaneswar running for commission of offence under Section377/323/342/506 of the IPC read with Section-6 of the POCSO Act, has filed this application under section 439 of the Cr.P.C. for his release on bail.
Another application has been filed for grant of interim bail to the Petitioner on the ground of illness of her mother. 3.
Heard learned Counsel for the Petitioner and learned Counsel for the State.

Considering the submissions made and the role said to have been played by this Petitioner as also the manner of commission of the offence as those emerge from the materials on record, further keeping in view the nature and gravity of the offences alleged to
// 2 // have been committed; I am not inclined to reconsider the prayer for grant of bail to the Petitioner merely taking into account the period of detention of the Petitioner in custody.
