1. 1. This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

2. The writ petition has been registered before this Court on 17.12.2021, after the Original Application was transferred from the learned State Administrative Tribunal, Cuttack Bench, Cuttack upon its abolition.

3. On perusal of the available order-sheets of the leaned Tribunal, it is indicated that notices were issued by the learned Tribunal on 08.10.2015. The matter was never taken up/pursued thereafter nor there is any further pleadings by any of the parties.

4. The Original Application was filed by the petitioner in the year 2015 while working as Forester under Divisional Forest Officer, Puri Wild Life Division, Puri, seeking a direction to the authorities to grant him promotion to the post of Deputy Ranger as persons junior to him have already been granted promotion.

5. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he has no up-to-date instruction to pursue the litigation on behalf of the petitioner at present.

Learned Additional Standing Counsel referring to the averments made in the writ petition submits that the petitioner was aged about 56 years in the year 2015 and would have retired from Government Service in the year around 2019 on attaining age of superannuation and, therefore, the prayer for promotion would not survive at present for adjudication.

7. Having learned the learned counsel for the parties, the writ petition is disposed of for lack of up-to-date instruction from the petitioner granting liberty to revive the same within sixty days for any surviving cause of action. ( M.S.Sahoo) Judge Gs
