This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement (Virtual/Physical Mode).

Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner.

The present contempt application has been filed for noncompliance of the order dated 09.06.2021 passed in W.P.(C) No.8681 of 2021.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the Petitioner that the authorities have deliberately flouted the order passed by this Court and are intentionally not complying with the same. The allegations made by the learned counsel for the Petitioner is serious in nature. 5.

Learned counsel appearing for the contemnor seeks some time to comply with the order passed by this Court. 6.

This Court is of the considered opinion that the dignity of the Court must be maintained by the authority and the authority must comply with the order passed by this Court. Any contempt by any authority of the State shall always remain aware of the fact that the

// 2 // order passed by this Court is sacrosanct. Such order either to be challenged before any higher forum or to be complied with within time stipulated by this Court. Any laches on the part of the Officers/contemnors is not sustainable in law. Therefore, on the request of the learned State Counsel another opportunity be provided to the contemnor to comply with the direction issued by this Court by extending time to comply with the order of this Court by another four weeks failing which the proceeding under the Contempt of Court's Act shall be initiated for willful violation of the Court's order. 7.

With the aforesaid observation, the contempt application stands disposed of.
