1. 1. This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

2. The writ petition has been registered before this Court on 21.12.2021, after the Original Application was transferred from the learned Odisha Administrative Tribunal, Cuttack Bench, Cuttack upon its abolition.

3. On perusal of the available order-sheets of the learned Tribunal, it is indicated that notices were issued by the learned Tribunal on 28.08.2015 and the matter was never taken up/pursued after 07.02.2017.

4. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that he may be permitted to withdraw the writ petition.

5. Learned Standing Counsel for the School and Mass Education Department referring to the averments made in the writ petition as well as counter dated 03.11.2015 filed before the learned Tribunal, submits that considering the nature of grievance, i.e., challenge to the order of transfer dated 20.08.2015, nothing would survive at present after seven years.

6. It is further submitted that the transfer was pursuant to a Government Policy to rationalize the pupil teacher ratio in different schools of a district and the impugned transfer

// 2 // order dated 20.08.2015 is result of such exercise for the district of Gajapati.

7. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of as not pressed.
