This matter is taken up through virtual/physical mode. 2.

The Original Application No.196 of 2016 (C) was filed before the State Administrative Tribunal, Cuttack Bench, Cuttack. After its abolition, the same has been transferred to this Court which is renumbered as WPC (OAPC) No. 196 of 2016.

The Petitioner sought for a direction to the Opposite Party Nos.2 and 3 for according promotion to the Post of Havildar Major from Deputy Subedar. It is alleged that Junior to the Petitioner had already been promoted to the post of Havildar Major in the year 2011 and also promoted to the Deputy Subedar in the year 2013, but the Petitioner's case is not considered.

None appears for the Petitioner at the time of call. 5.

Heard Mr. L. Samantaray, learned Additional Government Advocate for the State.

This matter has been pending since 2016.

The writ petition, therefore, stands dismissed as infructuous reserving liberty to the Petitioner to revive this
