1. 1. This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.
2. The writ petition has been registered before this Court on 23.12.2021, after the Original Application was transferred from the learned Odisha Administrative Tribunal, Cuttack Bench, Cuttack upon its abolition.
3. On perusal of the available order-sheets of the learned Tribunal, it is indicated that notices were issued by the learned Tribunal on 04.01.2016 and the matter was never taken up/pursued thereafter nor there is any further pleadings by any of the parties.
4. The Original Application was filed in the year 2015 by the petitioner then aged about 58 years working as Trained Graduate Teacher in Swapneswar High School with a prayer to fix his date of increment as 01.03.2006 instead of 01.08.2006, inter alia, contending that his junior got the increment from the date 01.03.2006.
5. It is submitted by the learned Standing Counsel referring to the averments made in the writ petition as well as annexures that nothing would survive for adjudication at present in view of the fact that the petitioner would have
// 2 // retired from Government Service around 2016-17 on attaining age of superannuation.
6. Learned counsel for the petitioner files a Memo dated 15.07.2022 to withdraw the writ petition. The same be kept on record.
