Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the State.

The petitioner is in custody since 29.07.2021 in connection with Khunta P.S. Case No.222 of 2021 corresponding to C.T. Case No.705 of 2021 pending in the Court of learned S.D.J.M., Udala for the alleged commission of offence under Section 376-D of IPC read with Sections 67/67(A) of IT Act.

Considering the submissions, materials on record, the period of detention and the fact that charge sheet has already been submitted, coupled with the fact that similarly placed coaccused persons, namely, Bairagi Mohanty has been granted bail as per order passed by this Court in BLAPL No. 9637 of 2021, I am inclined to allow the prayer for bail. Let the petitioner be released on bail on such terms and conditions as the court in seisin over the matter may deem fit and proper to impose including the condition that he shall personally appear before the trial Court on each date of posting of the case

without fail.

BLAPL is accordingly disposed of.
