CORAM:
JUSTICE M.S. RAMAN Order No.
ORDER
28.10.2022 01.
1.
The petitioner has filed the Original Application (converted to the present writ petition) with a prayer to setaside the letter dated 20.02.2014 directing the selected candidates as per provisional merit list for production of their testimonials for verification in order to give appointment on ad hoc basis in the Government Degree Colleges. 2.
It is the plea of the petitioner that persons belonging to Scheduled Caste Category, who had applied for the post of Lecturer in respect of the Government Degree Colleges securing less weightage marks than the applicant, i.e., 38.952 and 38.040 have been favoured with an appointment order, even though the petitioner had secured 54.87 marks belonging to the same category (SC).
3.
Mr. Manoj Kumar Khuntia, learned Addl. Government Advocate appearing for the Opposite Party-State submits that the selection was of the year 2014 for ad hoc appointment of Lecturers in Government Degree Colleges and by efflux of
// 2 // time the matter has been rendered infructuous. He further submits that non-appearance of the petitioner or his counsel indicates that the petitioner is not interested to pursue this matter.
4.
