Heard learned counsel for Petitioner, learned counsel for the State-Opposite Parties and Mr.M.K.Das, learned counsel for the Opposite Party No.5.

The present Writ Petition has been filed with the following prayer:- "(i) Direct the Respondents to sanction the legitimate GPF amount of the applicant amounting to Rs.73,386/- as per the proposal vide Annexures-2 & 5 forthwith with interest taking into account the fact that the applicant is a retired employee and thereby quashing the letter as at Annexure-8 as it is without due application of mind and contrary to the proposal / recommendation vide Annexures-2 and 5".

He further submits that through highlighting his grievances, the petitioner has filed a representation on 30.04.2016 at Annexure-9 to the Writ Petition, before the opposite party No.1 but till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, he prays that a direction be issued to opposite party No.1 to take a decision on the above noted petition within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs opposite party No.1 to take a decision on the above noted petition in accordance with law and also taking into account the order passed under Annexure-5 within a period of three months from the date of production of certified copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.
6. With the aforesaid observation and direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of.
