The matter is taken up through video conferencing mode. 2.

Heard Mr. B.N. Mahapatra, learned counsel for the Petitioner and Mr. P.k. Mohanty, learned Additional Standing Counsel. 3.

This is an application under Section 439 Cr.P.C. for grant of bail to the Petitioner Raghu Hantal in connection with Machkund P.S. Case No.54 of 2021 corresponding to T.R. Case No.56 of 2021 pending in the court of learned Additional Sessions Judge-cumSpecial Judge, Koraput for alleged commission of offence under Section 20(b)(ii)(C)/29 of the NDPS Act for alleged possession of contraband ganja weighing about 101 kg. 500 grams. 4.

Keeping in view the embargo contained in Section 37(1)(b) of the NDPS Act, I am not inclined to release the Petitioner on bail. Accordingly his prayer for bail is rejected.

The BLAPL is dismissed.

As the restrictions due to resurgence of COVID-19 situation are continuing, learned counsel for the parties may utilize a printout of the order available in the High Court's website, at par with certified copy, in the manner prescribed vide Court's Notice No.514 dated 7th January, 2022.
