Heard learned counsel for the parties.

The petitioner is an accused in connection with Spl. G.R. Case No. 10 of 2018 arising out of Sonepur P.S. Case No. 41 of 2018 on the file of learned Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, Sonepur, registered for the alleged commission of offence under Sections 20(b)(ii)(C) of the NDPS Act.

Being aggrieved by the rejection of his application for bail under Section 439 Cr.P.C. by the learned Sessions Judgecum-Special Judge, Sonepur, by order dated 8.10.2020, the present BLAPL has been filed.

Perused the report of the learned Special Judge-cumSessions Judge, Sonepur. 6.
Learned Special Judge-cum-Sessions Judge, Sonepur is requested to take steps in accordance with law for ensuring the
presence of the witnesses as per the established procedure envisaged in law.

Since the petitioner is stated to be in custody from 11.03.2018, this Court requests the learned court in seisin over the matter to conclude the trial within a period of eight months from the date of receipt/production of the certified copy of this order. It shall be open to the petitioner to approach this Court and renew his prayer, in the event the trial is not concluded within the time stipulated and delay is not attributable to the petitioner. 8.
The BLAPL is accordingly disposed of.
