Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner and learned counsel for the Opposite Parties.

This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the show cause notice issued on 05.04.2002 under Annexure-1. 4.

It is submitted that even though the said show cause notice was issued on 05.04.2002, but the petitioner was served of the same only on 11.06.2008.

It is further submitted that the petitioner when submitted his reply to the same, the said reply was forwarded by the Collector & District Magistrate, Deogarh to the Opposite Party No.3 vide his letter dated 18.06.2008.

It is submitted that in spite of such submission of his explanation and forwarding of the same under Annexure-2, no decision was taken and in the meantime, the petitioner also retired from service on 31.3.2022. Since no decision has been taken with regard to the show cause issued on

// 2 // 05.04.2002 and the petitioner has retired in the meantime, no useful purpose will be served by directing the opposite parties to take a decision on the same. Therefore, the said show cause notice issued on 05.04.2002 be treated as dropped as against the Petitioner.
