This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement Order No.

(Virtual/Physical Mode).

Heard the learned counsel for the Petitioner and learned Additional Government Advocate appearing for the State-Opposite Parties.

This writ petition has been filed by the Petitioner seeking a direction to the Opposite Party No.2 to finalize the Departmental Proceeding No.555 dated 25.1.2018 under Annexure-1 taking into consideration the enquiry report dated 29.1.2020 under Annexure-2 as well as the order dated 12.3.2019 passed by the Odisha Administrative Tribunal in O.A. No.999 of 2019 under Annexure-5 within a stipulated period of time.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the Petitioner that the Petitioner earlier had approached before the Odisha Administrative Tribunal by filing O.A. No.999 of 2019 wherein the Tribunal vide order dated 12.3.2019 disposed of the same with a direction to the Disciplianry Authority to conclude the proceeding within a period of six months from the date of receipt of the order. Despite of such direction and in spite of inquiry report submitted on 29.1.2020, the proceeding has not yet been concluded. 5.

Considering the aforesaid submissions and without expressing any opinion on the merit of the case, this Court disposes of the writ petition at the stage of admission with a direction to the Opposite Party No.2 to conclude the Disciplinary Proceeding No.555 dated 25.1.2018 under Annexure-1 within a period of six weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order.
