(Virtual/Physical Mode).

None appears for the Petitioner when the matter is called. Heard learned Additional Standing Counsel for State. 3.

Mr.Das, learned State Counsel submits that the present writ petition has been filed claiming promotion to the post of Sr. Clerk in a prospective manner.

However on verification of the record, it is seen that Petitioner was aged about 56 years at the time of filing the Original Application, i.e. in the year 2013. So it is presumed that the Petitioner must have been retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation. Therefore, no effective relief can be granted to the Petitioner at this stage.

In such view of the matter, the writ petition stands dismissed as infructuous.
