This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

The writ petition has been registered before this Court on 7th August, 2021, after original application has been transferred from the learned Odisha Administrative Tribunal, Bhubaneswar Bench upon its abolition.
On perusal of the available order sheets of the learned Tribunal, it is indicated that the matter was never taken up after 06.02.2018.

The original application was filed by the applicant/petitioner in the year 2012 seeking a direction to quash the order of penalty imposed on him when he was working as Mining Officer in the Directorate of Mines, Odisha, Bhubanewar vide order dated 18.06.2012.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he has no up-to-date instruction to pursue the
// 2 // litigation and accordingly the writ petition may be disposed of as not pressed granting liberty to the petitioner to revive the same within sixty days for any surviving cause of action.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with liberty as prayed for.
