This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.
RJ The writ petition has been registered before this Court on 7th August, 2021, the original application having been transferred from the learned State Administrative Tribunal, Principal Bench, Bhubaneswar upon its abolition.

On perusal of the available order sheets of the learned Tribunal, it is indicated that the matter was never taken up after 25.09.2012.

The original application was filed before the learned Tribunal in the year 2012 by the applicant/petitioner who was 53 years of age working as Drill Operator in the Directorate of Geology, Bhu-Bigyan Bhawan, Bhubaneswar seeking a direction to consider the case of the petitioner as per the revised Gradation list for promotion to the post of Drilling Foreman and Driller, from the respective feeder cadres.

Learned counsel for the applicant/petitioner submits that since the petitioner would have retired in the year
// 2 // 2019, by efflux of time, the matter would have become infructuous and there is no up-to-date instruction from the petitioner to pursue the present litigation.
Learned Standing Counsel submits that by efflux of time, the matter has become infructuous and may be disposed of.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties, the writ petition is disposed of as not pressed granting liberty to the petitioner to revive the same within sixty days for any surviving cause of action.
