CORAM:

THE CHIEF JUSTICE JUSTICE M. S. RAMAN

ORDER

14.11.2022 02.

1. Challenge in the present writ appeal is to an order dated 19th Order No.

October, 2001 passed by the learned Single Judge disposing of the Appellant's O.J.C. No.1938 of 2002 by pointing out that the Appellant being aggrieved by the Award passed in M.A.C. No.31 of 2000, was entitled to file a Regular Appeal.

2. Having heard learned counsel for the Appellant, the Court finds the impugned order not to be suffering from any legal infirmity at all. In fact, it is doubtful that the present writ appeal is maintainable against the aforementioned order of the learned Single Judge in a writ petition challenging an Award of the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal. Consequently, the Court declines to interfere with the impugned Award both on maintainability as well as merits.

3. The writ appeal is, accordingly, dismissed. (Dr. S. Muralidhar) Chief Justice (M. S. Raman) Judge MRS/AKS
