2. When the matter was taken up on 3.3.2022, following order was passed :

The Original Application having been transferred from the learned Orissa Administrative Tribunal, Bhubaneswar upon its abolition, has been registered before this Court on 11.8.2021.

2. On perusal of the available order sheets of the learned Tribunal it is indicated that the matter was never taken up after 25.1.2018.

3. The O.A. was filed in the year 2013 by the applicant/petitioner before the learned Tribunal when he was 43 years of age, working as Senior Assistant in the office of Revenue Divisional Commissioner (RDC), Northern Division, Sambalpur, inter alia, seeking a direction for grant of promotion to the post of Odisha Revenue Service Group (B).

4. Learned AGA submits that he has received instruction from the office of the cadre controlling authority, i.e., O.P.No.2-Member, Board of Revenue, Orissa, Cuttack in the form of para-wise comments dated 25.6.2014 indicating that the petitioner was in fact considered for getting promotion to the post of Odisha Revenue Service Group (B) by the Departmental Promotion Committee held on

// 2 // 4.2.2013 which the petitioner failed to clear as his other competitors had better CCRs.

5. It is further submitted that due to lapse of nine years, nothing would survive for adjudication in the present writ petition.

6. To grant another opportunity to the petitioner, list on 4.4.2022.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner does not want to press this writ petition.
