3. On 10.3.2022 when the matter was taken up, none had appeared and after considering in some detail and hearing learned counsel for the State, following order was passed :

The Original Application having been transferred from the learned Orissa Administrative Tribunal, Bhubaneswar upon its abolition, has been registered before this Court on 11.8.2021.
2. On perusal of the available order sheets of the learned Tribunal it is indicated that the matter was once listed on 18.11.2013, adjourned by the petitioner and thereafter has never been listed.
3. The O.A. was filed by the petitioner/applicant when he was aged 48 years before the learned Tribunal when the applicant was working as Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police in Police Station Badagada, Bhubaneswar in the district of Khurda, inter alia, challenging the selection process for promotion to the post of Sub-Inspector on the ground that the applicant/petitioner's seniority was over-looked by the authority as he was promoted to the rank of ASI in the year 2000.
4. None appears for the petitioner when the matter is called. It is submitted by learned Standing Counsel that in view of the nature of prayer made in the Original Application and since the matter was never pursued for about nine years, nothing would survive for adjudication.

4. Learned Standing Counsel reiterates the submission on behalf of the learned counsel for O.P.-State as indicated in the order dated 10.3.2022.
