1. The matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

2. The petitioner is an unreserved candidate, who applied for Orissa Civil Service Examination 2011-2012 and had filed the O.A. challenging the action of the opposite party No.2 in conducting the said exam without notifying the changed vacancy position, which occurred after the last date of submission of application form and without allowing the illegible unreserved candidates to apply and appear in the said 2011-12 OCS Examination. The vacancy position has been modified for all the categories more specifically the vacancy position for unreserved category has been enhanced from 171 posts to 247. There is an increase of 76 posts in unreserved category.

3. Since the matter is of the year, 2014, the cause of action seems to have been extinguished by now. In view of such facts, the writ petition is disposed of as infructuous.
