This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement (Virtual/Physical Mode).

The Petitioner was duly qualified/eligible to be recruited to the post of Constables in Odisha Reserve Police applied pursuant to an advertisement published on daily "SAMBAD" dated 09.09.1995 in which it was pointed out that there shall be a recruitment, which will be conducted during the period from 9th October, 1995 to 11th October, 1995 in the Reserve Police Line, Bhubaneswar. 3.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the Petitioner that a representation of the Petitioner under Annexure-3, which is pending before the Opposite Party No.2-D.G.& I.G. of Police, Odisha, Cuttack and she further submits that the same is still pending as of now.

Learned counsel for the State submits that prayer has become infructuous due to the passage of time. However, the grievance of the

// 2 // petitioner is with regard to non-consideration of the representation by the authorities within the stipulated time.

In such view of the matter, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Opposite Party No.2 the representation under Annexure-3, if any, is pending before him, the same shall be disposed of within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order in accordance with law. It is needless to mention here that the Opposite Party No.2 shall do well to consider and dispose of the representation of the Petitioner by passing a reasoned and speaking order. The decision so taken on the same shall be communicated to the Petitioner within a period of ten days thereafter. 6.

With the aforesaid observation, the writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
