This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement (Virtual/Physical Mode).

The present writ petition has been filed by the Petitioner for a direction to the Opposite Parties-Respondents to issue order of appointment in the post of S.I. of Police in favour of the Petitioner and further she has approached for a direction to the appropriate authority for publication of result and thereafter to issue appointment letter to the present Petitioner.

Counter Affidavit in the case has been filed by the Opposite Party No.3-Staff Selection Commission, Bhubaneswar, wherein at paragraph-5 of the said Counter Affidavit reads as under: "5.

That in reply to the averments made in Para 6.5 of the Original Application, it is submitted here that the Applicant has scored 11.2.48 marks in the main written examination and has qualified under the SEBC category to appear in the viva-voce Test on 08.05.2012. The mark secured in the main written examination by the last UR

// 2 // (woman) category candidate is 117.55. The marks secured by the Applicant are less than the marks secured by the last candidate qualified under UR (Woman) category. The applicant did not qualify for the viva-voce test in the UR(W) category but she was allowed to appear for SEBC category and ultimately she was unsuccessful in the final selection taking account the marks in main examination and viva-voce test."

In such view of the matter, the writ petition being devoid of merits, the same is accordingly dismissed.
