The petitioner is stated to be the sole legal heir of Late Sumitra Bag, who is asserted to have received a sum of Rs.2,74,000/- (Rupees two lakhs seventy four thousand) out of the total compensation amount of Rs.7,56,200/- (Rupees seven lakhs fifty six thousand two hundred). In the meantime, Sumitra Bag, having expired, the petitioner, being the sole legal heir, is asserted to be entitled to receive the balance amount of compensation. 4.

In this regard, the petitioner is stated to have filed a representation vide Annexure-9 series before the Special Land Acquisition Officer, Lower Suktel Irrigation Project, Balangir- Opp. Party No.4.

Regard being had to the facts and submissions and the nature of relief sought for, the writ petition is disposed of, directing the Special Land Acquisition Officer, Lower Suktel Irrigation Project,

Balangir-Opp. Party No.4, to dispose of the representation of the petitioner vide Annexure-9 series, in accordance with law, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this Order or true soft copy available in the Orissa High Court's website, by passing a reasoned order.

It is made clear that, if the petitioner is otherwise entitled to receive the balance compensation amount and, if, there is no other claimant and no legal impediment, the balance compensation amount be disbursed in favour of the petitioner within a period of thirty (30) days of disposal of the representation.

The petitioner is directed to supply a copy of the writ petition containing all the Annexures along with a certified copy of this Order to Opp. Party No.4 for convenience & reference to Annexure-9 series. 8.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. 9.

As restrictions due to resurgence of COVID-19 situation are continuing, learned counsel for the parties may utilize a printout of the order available in the High Court's website, at par with certified copy, subject to attestation by the concerned Advocate, in the manner prescribed vide Court's Notice No.4587, dated 25th March, 2020, modified by Notice No.4798, dated 15th April, 2021, and Court's Office Order circulated vide Memo Nos.514 and 515, dated 7th January, 2022.
