This matter is taken up by virtual/physical mode. 2.

Alleging non-compliance of order dated 6th July, 2021 passed in W.P. (C) No. 15816 of 2021, the Petitioner filed the contempt petition under Section 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971.

This Court taking note of grievance of the Petitioner is that despite the Special Land Acquisition Officer (Opposite Party No.3 of the writ petition and present Contemnor No. 2) had recommended on 1st February, 2019 to the Director (R & R)-cumAdditional Secretary to Government Department of Water Resources for sanction of compensation in respect of land acquired, disposed of the writ petition with a direction to the Opposite Party No.2 (Director (R& R) to expedite the sanction of the amount payable in terms of the award of the Court in L.A.R. Case No. 42 of 2007 on or before 20th September, 2021.

At the time of hearing, Mr. L. Samantaray, Additional Government Advocate assisted by Mr. Anupam Rath, Additional Standing Counsel furnished copy of the compliance report, wherein the Director (R & R) has sanctioned on 11th May, 2022 for payment of Rs.28,13,623/- in favour of Dasarathi Dhoba (Petitioner) in the aforesaid L.A.R. Case No.42 of 2007.
