This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

The writ petition has been renumbered and registered before this Court on 02.12.2021 after being transferred, upon abolition of State Administrative Tribunal, Cuttack.

On perusal of the available order-sheet of the learned Tribunal, it is found that the matter was never taken up after 23.07.2013.

The applicant before the learned Tribunal had challenged the non-publication of the merit list for appointment to the post of Sub-Inspector of Police on the basis of Combined Competitive Recruitment Examination for Group 'C' post under the Orissa Police Service in the year 2011.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that they have no up-to-date instruction to pursue the litigation at present, the writ petition may be disposed of granting

// 2 // liberty to the petitioner to revive the same for any surviving cause of action.

Learned Standing Counsel referring to the counter filed on behalf of opposite party no.2 submits that the results of the selection process for Combined Police Service Examination in the year, 2011 was published and the petitioner was not selected because she had secured less marks than that of the last selected candidate in the category of Women(SC), for which the petitioner was the applicant.

Having heard the learned counsel for the parties, the wit petition is disposed of due to lack of instructions from the petitioner granting liberty to revive the same within sixty days for any surviving cause of action. ( M.S.Sahoo) Judge Gs
