Opp. Parties Mr. T.K. Praharaj, Standing Counsel
CORAM:
JUSTICE M.S. SAHOO Order No.
ORDER
18.02.2022 01.
RJ This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.
None appears for the petitioner.
The writ petition has been registered before this Court on 30th November, 2021, after the original application was transferred from the learned State Administrative Tribunal upon its abolition.
On perusal of the available order sheets of the learned Tribunal, it is indicated that the matter was never taken up after 19.07.2012.
It is submitted by the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the opposite parties that the original application has been rendered infructuous, in view of the fact that the issue raised before the learned Tribunal is regarding filling-up of the posts of Special Armed Police in the Orissa State Armed Police in different Battalions as well as 1650 posts of Constables in India Reserve Battalion. It is submitted that due to efflux of time, the rights accrued in favour of the selected candidates have crystallized and at this belated stage, the matter needs to
// 2 // be dismissed having become infructuous.
Considering the submissions, the writ petition is disposed of having become infructuous granting liberty to the applicant/petitioner to revive the same within ninety days for any surviving cause of action.
