2. Heard Ms. Pattnaik, learned counsel for the Petitioner and Mr. N.N. Satapathy, learned Standing Counsel.

It is submitted that the petitioner's husband while working under Opp. party No.5, he died on 2.4.1996. As revealed from Annexure-1, the deceased Government servant entered into Government service on 21.8.1972 and he died on 2.4.1996. It is submitted that in spite of death of the deceased employee and the approach made by the petitioner under Annexure-4 for grant of family pension, the same is yet to be sanctioned in her favour. Even though the notice of the writ petition was issued since 31.1.2017, but no counter affidavit has been filed.

Taking into account, the prayer made in the Writ Petition and the plight of the petitioner, this Court while disposing of the Writ Petition, directs the Opp.

// 2 // Parties to take prompt and effective steps for sanctioning of the family pension and other retiral dues as due and admissible within a period of three months from the date of receipt of the order. 5.

With the aforesaid observation and direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of.
