This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement (Virtual /Physical Mode).

Heard learned counsel for the Petitioners and learned Additional Standing Counsel.

The Petitioner has filed the present writ application with the following prayer:

" Under the aforesaid facts and circumstances, it is therefore, prayed that this Hon'ble Court may graciously be pleased to i) Direct the Opp.Parties to consider the case of the Petitioners for re-engagement taking into account their continuous past services in the said Lower Indra Irrigation Project, being retrenched employees and land affected persons, as has been given to other casual employees of Indrabati and Balimela Project, adjusted in Lower Indra Irrigation Project;

ii) Pass such other order(s) or issue direction(s) as may be deemed fit and proper in the bona fide interest of justice."

In course of hearing of the writ application, learned counsel for the Petitioners submits that the Petitioners ventilating their grievance

// 2 // have submitted representation before the Commissioner-cumSecretary, Water Resources Department, Odisha, Bhubaneswar, Opposite Party No.1 on 25.10.2022 under Annexure-4. It is also submitted by the learned counsel for the Petitioners that the said representation is pending as of now. It is also submitted by the learned counsel for the Petitioners that a direction be issued to the Opposite Party No.1 to consider the representation of the Petitioners under Annexure-4 within a stipulated period of time. 5.

Learned Additional Standing Counsel submits that he has no objection if the representation of the Petitioners is considered by the Opposite Party No.1, which is stated to be pending, in accordance with law within a stipulated period of time.

Considering the limited nature of grievance of the Petitioners, the writ application is disposed of at the stage of admission with a direction to the Opposite Party no.1 to consider the representation of the Petitioners under Annexure-4 in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of production of certified copy of this order. The Opposite Party No.4 shall do well to dispose of the representation of the Petitioners under Annexure-4 by passing a speaking and reasoned order taking into consideration Annexure-5. 7.

With the aforesaid observation, the writ application stands disposed of.
